We are an open, collaborative network!
The collaborative, multi-site, longitudinal study of development in psychotherapy trainees being conducted by SPRISTAD is progressing well. Data are being collected independently by study collaborators at numerous sites in many countries. Committed colleagues are contributing to the progress of the study. However, with new sites in the planning phase, some authority issues have arisen which need to be clarified.
This scientific project is managed solely by the SPRISTAD Research Committee via direct communication with individual colleagues who, as Local Research Coordinators, participate in the study as equal collaborators. No individuals or groups in any country have been authorized to act as intermediaries for the Research Committee.
Private training institutes which do not have their own ethics review board may participate in the study through agreement with a nearby research institution. These research liaisons serve to facilitate trainee participation in the study, and not to control which colleagues may become collaborators.
Colleagues in all countries who are interested in collaborating in the study are encouraged to communicate directly with the SPRISTAD Research Committee either by writing to <therapistdevelopment@gmail.com> or by contacting any of the following persons:
David Orlinsky, Research Committee Chair
<d-orlinsky@uchicago.edu>
M. Helge Rønnestad, SPRISTAD Section Chair

Ulrike Willutzki, SPRISTAD Section Chair-Elect and Study Coordinator
