Thanks, Nick. I've posted a comment. Let's have others do the same if you're so inclined.

Dear all

A colleague of mine has just drawn my attention to the fact that the American Psychological Association is requesting our feedback on the Clinical Practice Guideline for the Treatment of Depression in Children, Adolescents, and Young, Middle-aged, and Older Adults.

From a quick glance, it appears that the recommendations for adults do include psychodynamic therapy, but those for children and young people only recommend CBT and IPT - based on a single network meta-analysis (Zhou et al., 2015), which had some significant methodological flaws. There's also no reference to the Abbass et al. meta-analysis on short-term psychodynamic therapies for children and adolescents (2013), or the recent IMPACT study (Goodyer et al., 2017), which demonstrated comparable clinical- and cost-effectiveness for STPP and CBT...

We can give them feedback here until October 23rd:

best wishes,

Nick
