Dear Sarah
This is a very important - though increasingly eroded - area of child psychotherapy work and competency, so your Paper is timely.

Just to add, that from my own experience I have found linking up with the work done with couples at Tavistock Relationships (prev Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships) via published papers ( eg Francis Grier (ed) Oedipus and the Couple) or direct conversation very helpful and rewarding: difficulties in the couple relationship impact on parenting capacity, as I think we see often in our clinical work. Addressing this (perhaps with appropriate onward referral) can be one of the challenges of clinical parent work.

Best wishes for your Paper.

Dear all

I am compiling a list of recent research into therapeutic work with parents for a forthcoming edition of the Journal of Child Psychotherapy.

If anyone has come across, or published, any recent research into work with parents - which could include work that supports child therapy or standalone therapeutic work with parents - I would be really grateful if you could let me know.

Many thanks,

Sarah
