Helpful to see the papers that have already been circulated on this topic. I think the range indicates that 'single case study' covers a variety of methodologies, from narrative case report through to various types of qualitative, quantitative and experimental designs. I'm attaching a conceptual paper I wrote about case study research a while back, plus a couple of examples of case studies, using rather different methodologies. I know that some colleagues in Essex have been involved with creating a single case study database as well - perhaps one of them will be able to share some details? I've attached four single-case studies from my lab. Perhaps others can send Yvonne (and the rest of us) their own articles that might highlight different approaches?
