Congratulations on the DVD, Nick! I agree that DVD resources can be very helpful as instructional aids (and can even be used to establish treatment prototypes). I would also be interested in hearing about other resources out there. Kanopy has some child therapy videos, but the data base requires an access password. Some libraries pay for Kanopy and automatically grant access to the students and faculty they serve.

Thanks, Tracy – a very interesting paper, and it also adds to the growing empirical support for the idea that a focus on enhancing mentalizing (reflective functioning) may well be a common feature of a range of child psychotherapies, not just MBT.
Related to that, I wanted to let people know that the APA have just published a DVD, linked to our recent book, made by Karin Ensink and Norka Malberg, showing MBT with school-age children (MBT-C) in action – more details at:
http://www.apa.org/pubs/videos/4310988.aspx
I’d be interested to know if others have examples of videos/DVDs that they use which demonstrate child therapies? It would be helpful to know about such resources for teaching purposes.
Best wishes,
Nick

Here is a new paper - a collaboration with other members of this list - our very own Geoff Goodman!, Leon Hoffman, and Tim Rice - and one of my students, Arielle Sherman. This paper adds to the scant child psychotherapy process literature and outlines a new prototype for our manualized treatment for externalizing behaviors (RFP-C) in children.
We are looking forward to comparing the prototype to what actually happens in RFP-C sessions in the future.
Also, for those local to NYC, we welcome referrals to our current RCT (see link in my email signature below). I have an announcement I can send to folks backchannel if you have listservs in the NYC area you would be willing to send it to.
Warm regards,
Tracy
