Dear colleagues

My apologies, as this message isn’t really about child psychotherapy, or research - but I’ve written a radio play, which will be broadcast this Sunday evening (and available after that to listen to on catch-up). In case anyone might be interested, I’ve copied some info about it, below.

At a stretch, you could say that the play is about family (sibling) relationships, and writing it involved quite a lot of research - so maybe it does fit within the CAFTR remit after all 😊.

Best wishes

Nick

Bloomsday – a play for radio by Nick Midgley

Bloomsday tells the story of the relationship between the Irish writer, James Joyce, and his younger brother, Stannie. Based on real events, it explores the complex dynamics between these two siblings during the years they were living together in Trieste, whilst Joyce worked on his masterpiece, Ulysses. Coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the publication of that book, the play will be broadcast on the Irish public broadcaster RTE’s Drama on One, on Sunday 12th June from 8pm, and will be available to listen-again after that on the RTE app or website - https://www.rte.ie/radio/dramaonone/?page=1<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.rte.ie/radio/dramaonone/?page=1__;!!DeIc-uvKXH9G!6xj58i7P1wsynG-vQXGi9HIz4sIOWQGsiyiXtl0DJTWpx7cO1GKVyWXdP7uMasDdBFgt3J0qekmSxuZa0062jnaoVA$>

For more information about the background to the play, there’s a blog on the RTE website - https://www.rte.ie/culture/2022/0527/1301654-drama-on-one-the-neglected-tale-of-james-joyces-brother/<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.rte.ie/culture/2022/0527/1301654-drama-on-one-the-neglected-tale-of-james-joyces-brother/__;!!DeIc-uvKXH9G!6xj58i7P1wsynG-vQXGi9HIz4sIOWQGsiyiXtl0DJTWpx7cO1GKVyWXdP7uMasDdBFgt3J0qekmSxuZa0044GggooQ$>
