Dear colleagues,

I'm delighted to share that results of the first randomized controlled trial of RFP-C have just been published in Psychotherapy Research. This joint project, with Leon Hoffman, Tim Rice (and several other co-authors), involved dozens of graduate students. All therapy was provided by doctoral level trainees which we felt was important to demonstrate portability and ease of implementation of the treatment. The current "gold standard" treatments for children with externalizing disorders are all behavioral, so this also represents a new frontier for psychodynamic therapies for children.

Other key highlights:
- Very high treatment engagement and completion rates: treatment completers attended 98.5% of parent meetings and 98.3% of child sessions (compared with other treatments which have shown nearly 1/3 of families do not complete treatment)
- When change in individual participant scores were examined individually, 79.4% of the sample was classified as Recovered or Improved
