Dear CAFTR members,

I want to make a formal announcement that Sibel Halfon (Istanbul, Turkey) and Vera Ramires (Porto Allegre, Brazil) have agreed to serve for the next three years as CAFTR's Chair and Vice Chair, respectively.  I have known both Sibel and Vera for a number of years now and have collaborated with both of them on several research projects, so I can say unequivocally that I am leaving CAFTR in most capable hands.  Vice Chair Katharina Weitkamp and I want to extend our congratulations and our support to the new leadership team.  I will remain on the Steering Committee to insure a smooth transition.  Please join Katharina and me in welcoming our new Chair and Vice Chair, Sibel and Vera!
