Good idea, Nick! Here are some resources I've been collecting (see attached). Also, here is a parenting blog to help parents answer their children's questions and questions about how to parent during the COVID-19 pandemic: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/psychoanalysis-unplugged/202004/how-answer-your-child-s-questions-about-the-pandemic

Enjoy!

Faced by lock-down, I know a lot of people have been very creative in developing online resources and courses related to child mental health. I'm sharing a couple here, below. Maybe if others know of relevant ones, they can share them too?

Best wishes,

Nick

1) an online short course about supporting YP with low mood and depression during the pandemic. It is free and accessible to anyone with an internet connection. It is aimed at YP, parets, carers, teachers and anyone supporting YP. It is very practical and brief but we are hoping that it will be helpful to some.

2) A 3-week online course on Childhood Adversity and Mental Health which will run as a Massive Open Online Course on FutureLearn starting this Monday the 27th (*free of charge*).

The course features three different perspectives on the topic of maltreatment, seeing it through the eyes of a clinician (Dr. Sheila Redfern), a neuroscientist (Eamon and me) and an educator (Brenda) and is aimed at anyone working or caring for a young person with adverse experiences (carers, foster carers, social workers, teachers etc.).
